So i recently i made a post about a good deal i ran into which was a 04 gt convertible, but what i wanted to know what exactly is your oppinion on a convertible. Where i live convertible is a great choice but is it a good idea to have it with a mustang. Some people say convertible is for chicks or that they are slower then a coupe

It is your car and if it makes you happy that is all that matters. Their are plenty of guys running around with bad *** Verts
Yes a vert is heavier than a coupe with the same power so obviously it is a little slower but nothing that can't be fixed with a little power adder or gears

With a vert you will need to to modify it a little differently than you would a coupe but with the right suspension set up and some added muscle under the hood it will perform just as well. If you desire some top down cruising buy it and hit the beach.

Hey-- I have an 03 Vert and love it. Just like BraMa said-- if you like it, that's all that matters. Remember though, they come with a host of different problems such as drain problems, pump and motor issues, ram leakage, line leakage, wind noise, road noise, rattles. and top cleaning and top leakage. You have to know your way around a tool box or you will pay dearly. Hope this helps--

These aren't cons, but issues. I was pointing out some things that a person who is new to convertibles, or someone who is thinking about buying one, really should be aware of.

I had a 96 cherry red vert and I loved it. Just make it fast and loud and nobody will confuse it for a chick car.
