Default What to use to clean engine bay?

In y'alls educated opinions, what's the best product to use to clean your engine bay? Be it homemade, or store bought, it doesn't matter whatever works and doesn't damage the goods. Thankse for the input.

If you're starting with a decently clean engine bay, I usually just wipe it down with a wet cloth. Constantly rinse the cloth out as you clean, but it should work great for most dirt and minor grease. Then when you find a "bad" spot, you can use a chemical to get it off, but typically it's not needed if you're consistent with cleaning the engine bay!

I use the engine cleaning products from Groits Garage.

But it's only really needed if you have never cleaned the engine bay before.

I've used an assortment of brushes and just purple power degreaser for stuck on grease. Then wipe it down and scrub with a cloth.

+1 to wipes. I've also used a low-pressure pressure washer with a really focused nose (I know there's a technical name for it but I don't know what it is) to concentrate on specific areas. In my opinion as long as you're not stupid about it you won't hurt anything.

At least I've never had a problem with that.

I use simple green concentrate, dilute it, and wipe most, if any dirt I have.

Yeah electronic pressure washers work really good they have a natural weaker pressure amount that works great on engines.

Don't hose it down.

Learned that the hard way.

After cleaning it, if you spray that foaming tire cleaner on it, then wipe it down after about 5 minutes, all the rubber and plastic looks shiny clean. Super easy.

The interior and exterior of my 2004 looks better than new. Guys ask why my engine compartment is slightly dirty. The guys who ask are usually those who have shorted out their COPs and various under hood electrical components.
