Default persistent power steering leak.

i just bought this 2001 cobra and it had a leak from the high pressure line at the pump. so i replaced the line. still had a leak. so i went and got a new Teflon****O-ring****to put on it, and it STILL leaks around the threads. im at a loss now. is there a special way to put this on so it doesnt leak? is there something im missing? or is there something i can put on the threads to stop it from leaking without screwing up the pump itself ( i heard plumbers tape will get in the pump and tear it up). any help is appreciated.

The threads in the pump may be damaged or cross-threaded. Also make sure that the old teflon o-ring or any other stuff is in the bore. Good luck...
