Then, my suggestion would be to do a stroker kit (MHS or MMR) for the HP you want. That way you'll save $$$ that can go towards the labor or any other mod you want.

what would the stroker kit get me that a regular forged shortblock cant get me?

Your current block has everything the shortblock has except forged internals. So you would net the same amount of HP at a lower price. The only thing you would probably have to do is bore out your cylinder walls depending on piston size. But that shouldn't cost much on top of the labor cost.

stroking the motor i heard increases the displacement am i correct?

and could you give me a link on what i could look at? id search myself but there so much out there and not sure what i could go with.
