Yep, thats what my car sounded like when it was straight piped. I changed to an O/R H and flowmasters and it sounds way better imo. Not that it sounds bad that way, it just didn't have much tone and I had a lot of popping especially under decel.

I wonder if the previous owner did his exhaust the way that it would be easier to install long tubes later. Basically headers and cats are stock, and new piping goes from Xpipe all the way to the back, i wonder if this way it will be easier to install long tubes, from what i read on AM website, they said that long tubes will require a custom midpipe because tubes will go all the way to the second set of cats?
Is that correct ?

If i would to go and buy BBK long headers right now, what will i need to do to install them, and i would like them to be welded instead of clips cause i dont want any exhaust leaks... BTW i am straight piped, after installing long tubes and removing all stock cats, can i weld a set of highflow cats before Xpipe so i can pass emissions later on ? And like a guy here said that mustang should have some sort of back pressure, then should i get my self mufflers like borla or something ?

The previous owner just did what people have been doing, especially on trucks, for decades. Its a cheap way to make a vehicle sound louder. If you get LTs, you need a "shorty" midpipe for longtubes. They make midpipes with high flow cats in them.
