Default Finding a bare block to build

My 97 GT vert has about 140k miles on it, and with christmas money and bonus check comming at the end of the year, I am looking to start a new power plant build. Want to stick with the 4.6L and do a 4V swap. Are these blocks purchasable brand new, or do I have to find one in a bone yard?

if you want to find a cheap 4V find a Mark VIII engine in a salvage yard and build it the way you want

+1 here, the mark vii's use a aluminum teksid block which is lighter and stronger than your gt's iron block

Depending on the power level you are going to be targeting, a Windsor (WAP) aluminum block might work as well. I picked up mine for a couple hundred bucks when I redid my power plant earlier this year.

I would think you could find a cheap 96-98 block (teksid) for pretty cheap. I would look on corral.net (classified section).
