2004 Mustang GT High Idle **HELP**
I have 2004 Mustang GT 152K miles - all stock
-
I have an High Idle Problem and Stalls
-
Idle is 2000 rpm.....
Once I tap the EGR Valve it stalls .. If I tap the EGR valve give it a little gas it goes back to normal idle 600 rpm
I have replaced the TPS Sensor, IAC Valve, EGR Valve, mass Air Flow Sensor
nothing .... still idle high
I checked for vacuum leaks cant not find any.
can anyone give suggestions?
Thanks

Having the check engine light off doesn't necessarily mean you don't have any codes. You can have what are called 'pending codes' and can be a huge clue to what's causing your problem. If you can get a hold of a scan tool, it would also be a big help to see where your fuel trims are at.

there really is no telling. Each monitor has a specific criteria it needs to meet before completing. just drive it normally for a week or so. The people at autozone might not give you the pending codes though, around here they've become real jack asses that wont even hook up the scan tool if the CEl is not on and they won't want to listen to anything you have to say about it.
