"THEFT" light is blinking and the car wont start
Alright so my "THEFT" light is blinking on my 2001 gt. I can turn the key all the way engine rolls over just doesn't start. I have put a new ignition system in it, tried unplugging the battery. I have two sets of keys reprogrammed them both with the new egnition system. I dont know what else to do ive done a little research and been hearing a lot about a PAT issue or maybe having to switch out the computer itself. Everyone has a different way they say would work. Has anyone had this issue and knows of a solid solution without having to bring it to the stealership? I read somewhere it was as easy as cleaning the wires to the ECU or swapping the PCM fuse. I have heard so many different things, does anyone know how to really fix the problem. Oh and i just had to drop some cash on a new mass airflow sensor plugs wires etc. so my budget is kind of low right now. Either way let me know i'm trying to avoid the dealership as much as possible and the mechanic i have been going to said he has no other options which blows my mind coming from a mechanic but let me know guys i really need the help this is my only way to work and i have a family to feed i need to fix this ASAP. Thank you!!!!!
