Question Long tubes with auto verts

Hello,
Anyone have advice for getting long tubes in auto convertibles, specifically 01 gt?
Thanks Ryan

Did you have to make any modifications to the k member?

Your gain will be around 10-15 rwhp.
They will fit your stock k member. Tubular k members do offer extra clearance but not needed. You prolly have to drop your k member to get them in reguardless.
In my opinion, unless you got them cheap and doing he work yourself, the small gains aren't worth it.

No mods to the K member. Dropped mine in with the engine from the top. Had them on the engine with auto trans attached. Didn't drop the K at all.

It is worth the gains, even if only 10 to 15 HP, and the exhaust tone you get with headers.

Most people that say its not worth the gains just don't want to do it themselves or don't know how to install. Just a way of justifying it to themselves.

You can support the engine and drop the K member to get it done if you don't want to pull the engine.

^^. Nice.

I still think it worth the gains. Most people who advise against long tubes don't have them. I'm sure you already know that...

I see it go back and forth. I had my engine/k member out and had $150 in my long tube/mid pipe combo is the only reason I done it. I just see the funds going to better places for beginning modders. I see people who done long tubes on bolt on cars say the some. Don't get me wrong, if the op still wants to install long tubes, I'm game to help how I can.

How do you plan on getting to 400+ hp? If you want to use a turbo then no.

As for the install. I Judy did mine a few months ago. Save your hands and the headache. Drop the k member. You can then reach everything way easier. And you won't have trouble getting the gaskets in place and installed properly. I had a transmission jack, 3 floor Jacks and Jack stands. Did I over the weekend.
