I have a 2003 Mustang GT. Sometimes when I get in the car at night, the interior dome light stays on when I close the do, until I insert and turn the key. That is great. Other times though, as soon as I close the door, the light goes out. Does anyone know what would cause that?

a fault with the key in sense switch or the plastic piece that insulates it. it can crack and will tell the car that the key is always inserted in the ignition. a way to test is the next time the dome doesnt delay with the key out of the ignition, open the drivers door, and if the chime goes off that indicates the key is still in the ignition, then that is your issue.
