Default Radiator leaking

Was coming home from the LA area, pulled in to get gas in Tulare. All the sudden water was pouring out from the radiator area. Had car towed home, took the fan and Radiator out. Looks like where the plastic housing connects to the radiator is leaking badly. Then I noticed my fan wobbles, the bolts that hold it to the shroud has come loose. I couldn't tighten them like I think they should be tight, they spin. my guess the plastic is worn a little. I could not figure out how to get that washer off that holds the blades to the shaft. I think im going to go with the SVE radiator from LMR. hopefully the bolts will not vibrate out again for a while. I would love to Loctite them if I could get that locking ring off. anyone know how? Are these common issues with the radiators and fans?

Sometimes those leaks can be stopped simply by using pliers to pinch the metal "fingers" for a better end tank seal.

update:: purchased a new SVE aluminum radiator. fits great with a few adjustments. the only problem I ran into is the nut that is welded on the radiator for the transmission lines are not deep enough. it only grabs 2 threads on my lines. not exactly sure how I'm going to tackle this yet , but I will figure something out. the main thing is to seal it properly

Are you talking the fittings for the trans cooler section of the radiator or something else? Never been under the hood of an auto mustang haha.

yeah I would think those would be OK as long as they don't leak there's not a while lot of stress on them. My f150 is just a quick connect. Wonder if they make a fitting with lower threads.
