Default 2v Fun GT?

Thinking about picking up a 2v GT next summer, stick shift, putting 4.10's in the rear. I just want a fun fast car with good mid range punch and low end torque!

I have an auto 99 LS1 which is a lot of fun, t-tops but I really miss driving a stick shift.

Basic mods and gears, a custom tune do these 2v's run pretty good?

Not looking for break neck speeds or running even near 12's but do want something I can get in, go out and have some fun in rowing through the gears making a lot exhaust noises lol

I can do all the maintenance etc. no big deal.

I own both a WS6 and a 2V. The 2V will do what you want it to, they have good torque off the line and are great for burning tires and rowing through the gears. 4.10's should get you into the 13's pretty easily.

I had an 04 GT with full bolt on's and 4.10 gears. Ran pretty damned good for what it was.

Damn too bad we aren't closer. These run well, yes.

02-04 is pretty much the years I want. Cobra front end and hood ( played out, I know I know lol ), nice rumble, maybe a nice set of cams.

I really like my Z and its also getting basic bolt on's buts really more of a take the top off and cruise into the mountains on a nice day more than a full on drag or even speedster. It's decent ( 13.8@104-105mph ) but it's a far cry from even low 13's which bolt on's will surely change.

Honestly, even a 15 second car that's light, with a stick is a lot of fun to drive and zip around town so numbers are just a baseline of performance to me.

How do you like your WS6 compared to your 2v? No comparison I bet lol
They have so much torque stock even...

My WS6 has an LQ4 6.0L in it, so it's a freaking torque monster, plus it has the T56 in it. The GT is fun to drive, but the WS6 is a whole different animal. Now how it drives, the GT is the FAR better car.

A 2V gt is a low 14 second car bone stock, so it shouldn't feel that much slower than your LS1.

Holy smokes.. sounds like a real beast! I also wanted to go all out for my Z28 but it's future honestly is still undecided. I like keeping it simple but a turbo LQ9 would surely be a monster all in it's own.

2V's don't get the credit they deserve imo.. I guess it's because of the new 5.0 or even the Fox bodies take the spot light a lot of the time.

Looking forward to picking one up next summer, but who knows, I might end up picking it up sooner.
