Default A/C Not Charging ?

Hi Guys,

I just installed a new condenser, evaporato, liquid line (the one with the orifice tube) and a new compress & clutch.
I emptied the oil the compressor came with and replaced it with PAG 46. Pulled a vacuum for an hour and a half.
Went to put coolant into the low pressure side, had the A/C switch on and the blower going.
It doesn't seem to be taking coolant. Like, the can is not emptying.
What am I missing?

Is the compressor's clutch engaging?

+1^ Maybe the new compressor hasn't been plugged in yet?

BTW...

I don't see an accumulator/drier in this list. If it wasn't replaced, now would be a good time to do that before you get too far into the filling process.

The compressor clutch is not engaging, nor is refrigerant exactly flowing into the system.

I pulled a vacuum on the system - 25bar for over 1.5 hours. Seems the coolant should pour into the closed system.

The accumulator was replaced. The power has been connected to the compressor.

Are you sure you had a good connection when you pulled a vacuum? If not you would just pull a vacuum on your gauges. With a good vacuum it would pull in most of the charge without the system running.

refrigerant will fill a system under a vacuum, assuming that you are using equipment that isnt garbage, and you know what you are doing. one of these is your issue.
