Default Starting issues

New to the mustang scene, recently bought a 96 cobra with an 04 Mach 1 swap... two owner car, 57k on chassy and 30k on swap...

Been starting up fine and driving great. Starts up perfect when cold, although has no O2 sensors so it does idle rough. But after driving today for the first real drive (1 hour), I turned it off and then when trying to start it again a minute or two later. Keeps cranking but not catching. Sounds strong like it wants to catch, can smell fuel so I know it's getting fuel.

No O2 sensors? There are two sets, upstream and downstream. I hope you're talking about the downstream. Otherwise that would explain your problem, the upstream sensors are integral to engine management functions such as maintaining proper a/f ratio.

Check Engine light is on, I assume? What code(s) do you got?

Even if all o2's are unplugged, car should start up in closed loop mode.

might want to have your ignition module tested
