Default Almost no air blowing for heater

On this '98 convertible, almost no air comes out of the vents (and I did find the levers to open them. I've never seen center vents that can be shut off before [or even wanted to!]).

More air seems to flow when it's set to the windshield defrost.

Is there something easy to check for before taking it to a shop?

Since no one else has replied,I guess that I'll ask if the fan motor and fan switch operate ok.Beyond that, you need to check vacuum lines and vacuum motors if so equipped..

The fan blows a lot of air, although less than I'd expect (but this is a different type of car than I'm used to).

I drove for over half an hour, so the heat gauge was to 12:00 or so, and still no heat in the air.

The AC seems to be cold (but then, so is the outside air).

sounds like your Heat/AC Blend Door is stuck in the cold position, might try and tap on the black cover just below the glove box and see if it will jar the door lose

just noticed how old this thread is , oh well maybe itll help someone else

I took it in.

I seems that the heater core was bypassed . . .
