I think the scoop looks really good in black. How much is the 5.4 swap costing you if you dont mind?

well, i know i could have dont it for a lot cheaper, but ya...



so far on my 5.4 project
Long block + shipping $620
Machine Work(resurfaced heads, glaze honed block,
hot tanked & Magnifluxed block, & crank,
Cleaned pistons) $200
Piston rings $50
Head bolts $60
intake plenum with tb $60
all gaskets $300
valve job Free, did my self at school $0
8 bolt Bilit steel wlywheel $120
Hood + paint $220 for hood and my uncle is going to paint it for me



TOTAL AS OF NOW $1630


-------------------------------------------------------------------
And still need

egr tube $60
main bolts $30
fly wheel bolts $15
Dyno Tune $450


hopefully all finished $2195

when are you going to start to mount it in the car? when are you pulling your old 4.6 out to make the room for the 5.4?

You intrested in selling the 4.6 you got now.... me and my dad wanted to start a project engine and we were going to do a 5.4 but i think were gonna stick witha 4.6... leme know if you are

Well, i talked to my Auto Shop Teacher, he is ASE cirtified and a Master Tech, so he knows his stuff. and he said that it wont hurt anything with the scoop and when it rains so ya im good.

Ya i would sell it i dont know how much it would be a long Block 4.6 i will be makeing a Post/ Wright up and taking lost of pictures when i swap it in. can wait should be fun...
