I am thinking about getting my car tuned and dynoed for $500. Is that a good price and is it worth it?

What mods do you have? Unless you have alot of mods then you don't need a tune, you can get a dyno for less than 100.

it's really not worth it until you get like full boltons or some sort of forced induction. you're probably not going to pick up more than 10HP from a dyno tune. the $500 sounds about right for the price though.

Well since you probably are going to keep modding and they are going to retune it for free. why not go get a tune.

I think you are aiming a little high. 300 rwhp? I would guess closer to 260, I am not sure though. I don't remember off the top of my head the hp the 98 cobras came with. I though about 280 flywheel? Correct me if I am wrong.

I looked it up and they say the 98's had 305 flywheel, so I'm sorry, 300 sounds close.

yeh 305 at the flywheel stock. sS about 12 for intake, 15 for SLP 1' catback and 15 for o/r h-pipe? Stock 98' cobras dyno at 260, so 300 sounds good right?
