Default whats the better move?

Pi swap, camshaft on my 96 gt or someone suggested finding a 99-04 engine and just go with that any suggestions?

you're better off doing the pi swap with the cam...throwing a pi swap in a non pi car will be faster than a 99+ pi car stock vs. stock because of the compression difference

Like he said the swap and cam will give you more hp than a stock PI engine, and it would be cheaper unless you found a 99+ with a lot of miles on it, but go with the PI swap and cam.

But.....If you're planning on doing a s/c down the road, the higher compression from the PI swap wont really allow you to run high boost levels.....if you're lookin' to stay N/A then the PI swap and cams will do the job.....especially with a port and polish on the heads, and long tube headers thrown into the mix.....

these cars have CAMS, not a cam

the pi swap with a set of cams is going to make quite a bit more power then the stock 99-04 motor, and will probably entail about the same or less work then a motor swap.

what are you smoking? you can get a 99+ engine with low mileage for CHEAP. i still say, if you got the time and money, swap that engine out and get a 5.4 thrown in. ebay
