Default Stock GT piping

on the stock GT ... what is the size of the piping .. is it 2.25?

I think it is. The stock exhaust didn't last more then a week on my car before i put it in the trash.</P>

the reason i ask is because i might start out with just mufflers, and in that case they will have to be 2.25... then when i want to add an xpipe .. it will also have to be 2.25... so the result will be my entire system being 2.25 accept with new mufflers and an xpipe instead of the stock setup</P>

Well just oder a 2.5" cat back system. The later on get a X-pipe. Then you'll have a 2.5" system.</P>

Default Stock GT piping

if i were to keep all the piping at 2.25 but get a magnaflow x-pipe with highflow cats and the flowmaster super 40 series mufflers... would i still notice a good amount of power gained?

or do i really have to make the piping .25 inches bigger to notice a diff.... i dont really care to do that but it the .25 inch makes a big big difference than i guess thats what ill do
