What to do first?
With the amount of time I spend driving during the week, I might as well have something I like to drive. What's the point of building a hotrod if I'm only going to drive it on the weekends. I hardly go anywhere so it would be a waste.

Anyway, she has an 03 Taurus wagon.

There are other things that can be done such as brakes, suspension, bolt-on upgrades etc. that won't have an effect on mileage.

I was hoping to get some input on what specific mods to do and in which order ie:

1. Cold-air intake

2. Headers

3. High-flow cats

4. Cat-back exhaust

5. Throttle body

6. Coil-overs

7. Sway bars

8. etc. etc.

Exactly. And I want my hotrod to be my daily driver but I also have to be realistic about it.

How did my wife get into this discussion? All I said was that she wanted an automatic. As long as we have the money, she doesn't really care what I do to it.

We will share it. I'm just a cheap MF and don't like to pay more for things I can't easily see. That's why I turn lights off when I leave a room. A little bit here and there adds up to something. A couple hundred a year doesn't sound like much, but it adds up to a nice mod.

Anyway, I'm really more interested in what order should I do the mods. I know a good bit about cars, I just wanted other opinions as what is the best route.
