When I take a cross country trip, I am either trailoring my bike w/the truck, or FLYING! Oh well, ea. to his/her own. Just when you get 3.73's...don't run against someone w/4.10's or you will get your feelings hurt [this is all assuming other modifications are equal]</P>

I hear what you're saying. I just think the 4.10's are not for him and his driving habits.<IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"></P>

How about this...</P>
If you get 3.73 or 4.10 gears, you'll have to get a speedometer calibrator ~$100 + cost of install...</P>
OR get a "Superchip Micro Tuner". They cost $300 on ebay (if you look close enough) and you don't have to install it. You plug it under your dash. Not only will it correct for gears, it can adjust your air/fuel ratios and timing. So get 3.73's and then put the performance mode on. You'll be a hair under 4.10's...you can take the program off anytime you like...only cons is the unit "marries" itself to one vehicle so u can't use it on other cars.</P>
</P>
I myself have a tuner on the way. As soon as I get it, I'm going to Lamotta to have them install 4.10's. I'm expecting it to really kick! BUT, I'm not a freeway driver...only to the track do I drive on the freeway, but I plan on burning gas anyway...</P><edited><editID>ricekiller2003</editID><editDate>38031.7907523148</editDate></edited>

3.73 OR 4.10 GEARS
Why is 410's better for the auto and 373's are better for sticks. I would like to get some gears. Plan on getting 410's but later I would like to add a procharger, so should I go with 373's or stick with the original 410 plan. Also, what kind of gains will I see changing gears to 410's as far as acceleration and 1/4 miles go?
