Default Cost to paint hood?

For those of you who had your hood painted, how much did it cost? I'm looking at doing something like doing only the first and/or the second hump on my hood.

My 3" cobra r svo with hood pins installed cost 450 at a dealership. I may have payed too much i dunno but its quality work. That would look pretty sweet dont think that I have ever seen that. Post some pics when you do it.

You are gonna get RAPED on red paint. It's the most expensive solid color. I was too poor to paint the underside of my hood red. lol So I went with flat black on the underside. Saved me a hundred at least.

the diff between red and mineral grey is that red costs much more to refine and make.

haha right I never knew one color was more expensive than another. That blows if you have a red car.

Lols, the brighter the red the more expensive it is. I thought I had an expensive red till I saw the price per pint for torch red...=P

I got two quotes from different places to repaint my front bumper, black my hood out, repaint red on hood that needs it, and blend in the fender tips and fenders for $450-475

I just went the other day to get a quote to paint a 3" cowl hood. They said it would be about $325 for solid silver, or it would be $540 for the two-tone that I have now! [&:]....$540! I find that hard to beleive!
