Default s/c or support mods?

I'm getting a decent tax return, plus I found out that my great aunt left me $1k. I'm debating either saving up for a s/c (vortech or novi) or doing some supporting mods. Headers, mid-pipe, tb & plenum, subframes and lowering springs.

I'll have about $2500. The car will be paid off in Aug.

Thoughts?

i would buy an s/c IMHO, you get used to your mods and eventually it feels slow again with a s/c its like 100+ hp

Yea, that is my quandary. Get bolt ons and not a lot of return, or get a s/c and not be able to use it propperly (though I would work on those things after the s/c).

That is a tough one. If you plan on keeping that car for a long period of time, I would go with bolt ons first. 2500 is a bunch of goodies

I would save up for the supercharger. You will see more gains later on when you install the supporting mods.

Save for the blower. Yeah you probably can't put most of it to the ground efficiently without suspension mods, but you are still going to be much faster than you are right now. Plus, suspension mods aren't much anyway, just need some time to install.

Yea, I'm figuring it's harder to save up for a big purchase like a blower (I work in higher ed, so we don't get bonuses) , plus there is the economic stimulus package that's supposed to happen in May, so that's another $600 I'd have towards it.

Do you guys recommend getting a new one?
