I worked at Best Buy and my wife is a Manager at a BB. I am a certified MECP Master Installer so I'm not just taking out of my butt.

Insignia is the amp that you "HIDE" if that's the amp you buy. That's the amp you buy when you're poor or you're to cheap to care about quality. I have no idea why in the world someone that makes 6 figures would buy that amp or would let the car get as Filthy as yours.

I don't care if you say your redneck, I know a lot of rednecks (Living in Michigan) and of course their work trucks can be filthy but not their pride and joy, truck or car. No excuse for that unless you're a filthy person.

I wont even begin to tell you how FUBAR'd you are for using stock speakers with that amp. I hope you're planning on changing them.

Also, take that dash mat off, it's hideous. If you are worried about the dash cracking then clean and condition it regularly. By looking at the rest of your car I can only imagine that you haven't cleaned under the mat in a while so you're only protecting the dash from particulate an some UV but not from it drying out so it's going to start to crack soon anyway.

Two things to do while your in a Hot temp zone to avoid it from cracking treat the dash with a nice oil based protectant like Mothers or if you have to, armoral. The other thing is, get the windsheild tinted (still treating your dash of course). A good quality tint will decrease radiant heat and 90% of UV light and you don't have to get a dark tint. I lived in the Mohove, and I know these things work.

About your camera, I can only imagine that you didn't get the PSP on it and if you would have gotten the "acedental" you would have been covered on everything even neglagence. And, "IF" you dropped your camera without accidental, why would you expect someone else to replace it?

Don't misunderstand, I'm not calling you out or trying to argue but I think you need to take better care of your car and to have some pride.

I am not trying to argue or agree with either side of this but didn't he say it was a work in progress? I take awesome care of my car inside and out, but when I'm working on it, it doesn't always look the best. He never said he wanted some bada$$ stereo system, so why does it matter what is in it? He seems to care more about the performance than the looks...is that all that bad? Sure its messy but its still a nice car and its silver...and I have to stand up for that = )

Some poeple don't care about quality crap. I'm letting my car fall apart while I do what I want to do with MY car. Maybe he feels the same way. My car may make a sound or two, not have a shiny paintjob or new leather seats, but by god, when I finish it it will be a fast car, because that's what I bought it for. I'm not that obsessed with my car I would spend every moment cleaning it with a diaper, instead I'm out having fun with other material objects that give me a good feeling in my gut, like beer. If I wanted a car thats all around great and needed good taking care of, I wouldn't have bought a poor mans sports car.
