i have Sumitomo High Performance HTR Z III Tire (285/35-18) on the rear and i hate them. they suck at getting any traction. for about 20 more dollars you can buy nittos extreme 305/40-18 on the rear. thats what i will be doing next month. as far as the nitto drags go i dont have the money to keep on buying new tires every couple of months.

The nitto DR's can last up to 15k miles as long as you don't roast the tires at every stop sign n light lol.

Should I even bother with another tire thread? Spend the money on the right tires.

True True True. No point in spending the money now and hating myself later. I'll spend the extra few hundred and upgrade to the nitto extreme NT55rs. Those seem to have everyone's attention especially for the money.

You can stick with the summies if you really want but I would do the nitto 555's up front n the 555's DR's out back. Thats what I'm going with.

Going for the Joe Dirt look, huh?

Suckitomos are crap. You'd be wasting more than you're saving. If you want inexpensive, at least get these. I have them. They're black and they're round and they don't look stretched. Nothing special, but they work. I have 15k miles on mine with a lot of abuse and I'm still at 50% tread depth.

GO TO OEWHEELS. They'll hook you up with a MUCH better deal than what your paying right now.

Sumi's are great for a DD. They're quiet, decent tread life, and smooth ride.
But, like it's been said, they suck for gripping. Unless it's like 85* + they won't hug the ground too well in a race.
