If I was asked to build an engine for my sister and I charged her for the labor my Dad would kick my ***.

Guys excuse my ignorance, but to forge the engine you have to change out the rods and pistons (rotating assembly?) and then balance them into the engine again , why do you "bore out"?

Engines are either internally or externally balanced. Ours are internally balanced and this helps to spin the engine higher with less parasitic loss from it being unbalance (think wobbly wheel, the faster it spins the more dangerous and the less efficient it becomes), it also lessens the possibility of failure and is a must for performance engines.

Boring an engine is simply cutting out the bad area from the cylinder wall.(Normally 0.010, 0.020 & 0.030 more) When doing this the new pistons need to be sized accordingly to the amount that was cut away.

Said and done to clean and work the short block with you supplying the parts and rotating assembly would be $1,455. I sent you a PM.
