Default Exhaust decision

I'm looking to upgrade my mufflers(not enough cash to upgrade whole cat-back atm). Everything on my 98 GT is stock. Right now I'm looking at magnaflows or flowmasters. Want some opinions on which sound better. Also, i've heard flowmasters can reduce performance, if so how much on a stock car?

If I had welded these mufflers (flowmasters) on to my car I'd be pretty upset that I had. They're alright and all, but you're going to find that you'll wish you had just waited and replaced the exhaust properly.

That said, the rest of my (exhaust) setup is stock and it sounds decent, you can find vids by searching the net.

Save up and buy a cat-back. Oh, he already said that...Then what he said
Also, you want to listen to some different setups as well, like flows with x, flows with h, catted mids, o/r mids, that way you like the sound all the way thru.

+1000. No one on hear is going to give you a good answer when it comes to exhaust sound. Everyone likes something a bit different, and what some of us love others can't stand. You need to do some listening and see what you like.

SSS exhaust $359 shipped to your door. Have a great day But seriously, they sound like borla stingers and they are fully polished 304 stainless steel. So why not pay the extra 150 bucks for the whole catback instead of the mufflers themselves.
