Default Upper intake and throttle body

I have an 04 GT with full exhaust and a cold air intake. My question is, Im wondering how will my stang will run with BBK's new 78mm throttle body and upper intake with not having many mods ? Also, how much horse power can I expect ?

Thanks

im going to say based on all the arguements ive heard....78 is begger than you need. Most say 70 is fine, i went with 75 and am completly happy, but i think 78 without a power adder might be pushing it.

Absolutely none...

Save up and get a tuner, the OEM 87 octane tune is pathetic--almost any premium fuel tune will perk things up a lot.

+1 a tune Is the way to go. Get something like Sniper Special Forces. Or any tuning software that really lets you adjust parameters. Then all you need is some dyno time to get it dialed in which is pretty cost effective.

Butt dyno will show gains with the tb/plenum(what youre refering to as the upper intake). You will have increased throttle response but no real power to show for it on a dyno sheet. Has anyone looked at a comparison of stock to aftermarket and not looked at peak numbers??? Does it help mid range or anything???

TB/upper plenum upgrades can marginally help upper mid-range, and will make the run-up to red line possible/faster--though with the OEM crap tune it's mostly added intake noise that makes you think there's more power.

However with a tune configured to take advantage of the better breathing (aggressive spark and optimised AFR) the gains in mid-range and past peak HP/tq up to red line can be noticeable and worthwhile...

I was looking to by one too, but now is like dang! haha
A tuner sounds good, (correct me if I'm wrong) but $300 for tuner and proly another
$3-500 for a good dyno? idk about that

wouldnt that mean the car is accelerating faster hence run better at the track?

ive always been told more air=more power but you have to tune for the extra incoming air
