Default PA valvebody or Transgo SK ?

Well since I'm swaping my stock auto 5r55s to a 4r70w, i'd decided to post it here since I know you guys are more used to the 4r70w.

I'm debating in what should I buy if either a PA full manual VB + TB ($780) or a transgo lvl 3 shift kit ($220)

I know the Transgo kit doesnt have the transbrake as the PA VB, but for $500+ I'd consider the transgo or atleast know how good it is...

any1 here have installed the Transgo lvl 3 kit? pros & cons? experiences and advices? or should I just save the cents and buy the PA vb ?

Thanks !

I've looked into this a lot, and cannot find any feedback, good or bad about the transgo set up. All I can find are ppl who are goung to use it, but no results

Where as the pa vb, lentech, etc are all proven

Why are you switching, I thought the 5r55s was a pretty decent tranny?

well its decent in stock form up to 450 rwhp
beefed no more than 600 and the tuner really needs to know what hes doing.
More than 600 rwhp NO way.

and beefing up a 5r55s is about the same as a 4r70w (except i'll need to buy the convrter, DS and misc stuff)

every single person who has upgraded their 5r55s just regret doing it and everyone is going the 4r70w route, since they keep on breaking.

Stage 3 Transgo is a manual valve body meaning that you will have to shift the car manually every time you drive. Stage 2 transgo shift kit is an automatic and shifts itself since its all electronically controlled. I ran transgo with two of my last mustangs and never had a problem. SOB hits and shifts firm and nice.

Which kit did u run tho? And that kit isnot a mvb, it simply modifies your stock vb to be a manual shift... Where as the PA piece is a new valvebody
