an ACTUAL mach 1 shaker hood conversion FTW. it cost me about $1,200 to do it, but it was well worth it in my opinion. if you're interested, let me know and i'll walk you through it, because the mach 1 shaker is NOT supposed to bolt up to the 2V

you don't really have to understand it. something about my car made me unhappy, so i decided to do something about it, and do it the right way only one time, and to me, the cost was justified. i didn't like how the hood scoop on my car was not functional, so i decided to make it functional. i bought a used mach 1 hood, and a new shaker system, and had the hood painted to match and the fenders blended. total cost was around $1,200 before i sold things like my stock hood that i no longer needed, and the cold air intake that was on the car that i had to remove. cost after selling those parts was around $800.

I have been thinking long and hard about hood scoops myself. I am thinking I might leave appearance alone (once my car gets out of the shop for air conditioning) and stick with performance mods, I do like the scoop though, it is real nice. Oh, I have a 2000 gt

my hood was $300, and costed me $250 to paint it and have the fenders blended. and easy there, my 10.5 deep dish bullitts have 315/35/ZR17 sumitomo HTR-Z tires on them for a year and a half now and they look brand new. nothing wrong with them IMO.

someone earlier *maybe bramas* couldnt understand a grand on visual mods..
but, tires and hoods together can cost WELL over 1000 dollars, and nobody bitches about them
I'd like a different hood or a good looking scoop, but at the same time, I also like people thinking my car is a v6 from the front and sides *sides before I got my new wheels anyways*
