4.10 Gear Opinion
hey just got my 4.10's installed yesterday and i thought i would post my opinion of them for anybody who might care or be contemplating which ratio to go with.
after doing a lot of reading and asking a lot of opinions i decided to go with 4.10. and so far i am glad i did. i havent punched it real hard yet, just making sure to break them in a little. but from the little i did do they seem awesome. first does run out fast but its not too bad so far and i even do a lot of intown driving. also first seems nasty now if you can hook it right otherwise the tires just spin and i start to fishtail (although that was with TC off, dont know if i keep it on if it will make any difference). second is awesome now, really throws you back in the seat. same with third, bypass driving is really fun. before third didnt really pull that hard but now it also throws me back in my seat at around 50-60 mph. 4th is also better as well, and 5th doesnt seem useless to me as much as before. i can now actually feel 5th accelerate instead of before when i floored it in 5th the car barely felt like it was accelerating.
so thats my opinion so far. i am glad i chose the 4.10 for now.
P.S. also thanks to TJ(teej281) for telling me about a guy who does good work on mustangs.

It is good to hear that you like the choice you made! That is what counts.
I have had both 3.73's and 4.10's in my Bullitt and I have to say that if I was doing it again from scratch, I would absolutely go with a set of 3.90's. Both the 3.73 and 4.10 have their advantages, and since this is my daily driver, I would take a compromise right down the middle.
No matter what ratio you go with, be sure to have a good tech install them so you don't get premature wear and whine from them.
