thanks guys! well im getting a set of 245/40/18 up front for free, and probably 275/35/18 in the rear. Still shopping around for the rears. Im in no hurry, shes sitting in the garage for the winter. Anyone know how wide of a tire i can go on a 18x9?

245/40's will be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too skinny man. Even if you are getting them for free...sell them and get 275's all the way around. I have 265/35's and they are too skinny for my taste. Dont cover the wheel enough IMHO. You will regret having that skinny of a tire. You can probably go with a 285/35 on a 9" wide tire. I have these exact same wheels with the 10.5 wide rears and my old wheels were 9.5" wide in the rear with 285/35's on them and they were almost right. Wish they were a little wider. But for good tires, i choose nitto's. A lot of people dont like nittos but i think that they are a pretty decent tire.

yea i know what you mean, i had 245/40/17 and they seemed alright for the front. I'm going to put them on, if they look odd ill just take them off.

Youre going to wish you would have just sold the new fronts and got the 275's. Just saying. They will look wierd as they are hardly wide enough on my old front rims that were 18x8's.

The 245s on my 8" wheels fit just fine. Not weird looking at all.

Well 18" wheels tend to exaggerate how things look. lol but they were nittos too so they may have been small...but they would be REALLY small on a 9" wide wheel.

I wouldnt go that wide either. lol Thats the size tire i just put on the rear 18x10.5's and they look just a hair skinny on them...but would not be so hot for a 9" wide wheel. lol sorry.
