Default Mach 1 brakes

Finally got the brakes in, and they are a great improvement over stock. Also snapped some interior pics of the shifter, and stereo. The stereo is really cool b/c you can stream bluetooth audio (no wires). I have an iphone, so I can stream pandora radio. It also has an iphone plug (on the front dash) if I am going on a long trip, and also a usb port in the glove box. Also has the hands-free kit and voice recognition dialing. The microphone is mounted by my visor.

Thanks. Buyfordracing used to have a kit you could get WAY cheaper than AM, but you can still put it together yourself (not anymore). Just need to get the rotors, and ss lines along with the calipers.

^ Looks good. So you just bought that kit, ss lines and rotors? Do you have a link to the other parts you bought? I am wanting to do this set up soon.

Thanks (got it all washed and waxed before winter storage

Yes. I got the rotors on ebay, and the ss lines from buyfordracing (but they don't have them anymore...they were a little bit cheaper than AM, at $60). You could even just get the rotors from Nappa if you wanted to, but I wanted to try out the drilled/slotted rotors. You just have to make sure they are the 13" rotors. If you tell Nappa the rotors are for the Mach 1 kit, they will know what to order.

looks good man! Some 18" Chrome Saleens would look great on your car. They would really show off your new brakes (calipers).

Even though you have the 13" rotors, you need the GT SS lines?

You didn't need to buy any banjo bolts or anything like that?

EDIT: how much did it all run you?

it seems that if the calipers are only 189, lets say blank rotors are $120 and SS lines are $70, its cheaper than what the kit used to cost from buyford racing. That only comes out to around $380ish

I've had good success with powerslot rotors w/ hawk pads. Imo these two things alone are a vast improvement over stock.
