They dont really hurt your car... well atleast they shouldnt. Its just that they dont really do that much (just like anyother bolton for our cars) lol
But they arent much money so if u want to do it go ahead, unless (as stated above)... dont do if if u gonna supercharge it

3 or 4 weeks ago I installed a set of lightly used Steeda UDPs I got from a forum member, and have found a very noticable improvement at WOT and higher RPMs, 4.0k to redline, with a noticable change at lower rpms and loads.
I have configured a 2-step rev-limiter set to 2800 rpm, and found that that is where the change to the UDPs realy makes you notice--the inital surge when the tires bite is much more powerful than pre-UDP.
However, none of this is at all relevant to even spirited everyday driving.
So my bottomline advice regarding UDPs is; if you have the cash and already have done exhaust, tuner, gears, TB & plenum (ETGTBP)--and don't plan to add a blower--then go for 'em, otherwise save the money and take care of ETGTBP first...
Also, do NOT get UDPs that use a piggyback crank pulley. Aside from the dubious design of these monstrousities, they are generally made of aluminum which is a horrible material for poly-V pulleys, also they are just plain fugly to look at.
Spend the other $50-$75 and get a set made of steel that has a real SFI approved crank pulley.

its because NO TWO CARS ARE THE SAME.
some people put on udps and their accessories take a **** or their car will stahl out at idle when the AC is on max.
some people notice no adverse change and a slight "umph" gain.
also depends on how much electrical strain you have on your car as is. if you have subs or lots of electrical devices or whatever, its not a good idea.

My Steeda UDP's gave me nice bump in the upper revs. At the time when my bro and i (he has a 06 gt) were doing the bolt on stuff, he would pull me ever so slightly once we hit 3rd gear, and afterwards we were dead even every time.

mustang 5.0 mag did a dyno test on them and they apparently picked up hp across the whole power curve. they claimed 7rwhp from their charts, but since its a magazine I would prob say 5rwhp max for you and me.
Steeda is the only one I would consider, I've hear horror stories on piggy back ones.
