Default 4 valve mustang gt

can i bolt a set of 04 cobra heads on an 02-04 mustang gt block? if so is there anything i need to change for this to work?

i don't think it's just as straight forward as bolting on the different heads.. the 4v heads use a different intake manifold (you'll probably need a different throttle body with the intake too), and i think you may even need a different wiring harness and front engine cover. i know i read up on this a while back and decided against it because of all the components i'd have to piece together to make it work. it can be done though, just depends on how much time and money you want to put into it.

I just posted this same thing not to long ago and didnt get to many answers... from what i understand u can about u would have to switch out alot more stuff then just changing the heads

You can...but its not suggested because you wouldnt get really any gain out of it because of the lowered compression. If you had an NPI engine then it would but you are going from a 9.6:1 compression to a lower 8:1 compression ratio due to the size of the combustion chamber and the fact that our pistons are dished. But you have to change a lot of crap to make it work.

Waste of time and money unless you get all the parts for free. Slap a blower on insted and you will be more than happy with your 2v.

what about the fact the heads flow a ****load more air then a 2v head
