Default 18 inch rims on front 19 inch on back

I have a 99 GT and my friend said it would be sweet to put 19 inch rims on the back and 18 inch on the front to give it that angle. Should I do this? or should i do 17 and 18 inch? or is this not even a good idea at all? like will it mess anything up or be bad for the car?

The problem is two fold; First you have the issue of finding a tire that gives a balanced sidewall appearance and second, the price of finding a good 19" wheel that will preform well is pretty limiting.

The staggered look is out dated, you'd have a better appearance by giving your stand a "slight" rake. And ALWAYS go 18's for looks and performance. 17's look like poo.

A bigger issue is addressing the ABS braking system. One could run a large difference, see the Prowler, as an example, but the Mustang ABS system is not designed for more than 1" differential without giving some fits.

Jazzer.... folding things over for a third time

also idk if you care bout traction cause the bigger the rim the smaller the profile tire the less slack in the tire or harder the tire and less the traction....and 17's can look good too if you just lower the car...many lowering kits come to where the lower the front slightly more....look round at some pics and see what you like then go for it

I don't think it looks right with the body shape of our cars.

This depends on WHAT kind of traction one seeks

Jazzer seeks twisty-traction
