so your saying you can use the 2v gt computer on a 4v motor, i thought you couldnt do that

This is the stock 2V GT computer with the 4V Mark VIII engine on my car. 100% stable and running well enough to pass texas emissions.

it has almost 60xxx and its be driven hard plus i over revved badly while sprayin nitrous a few days before this started happening.


Is there another intake manifold i can use with the motor like a 96 cobra intake along with a aftermarket cobra t/b?

you can get a ported short runner, where they cut the ones on your stock mani, it should give you about 15-20rwhp

do you know where i could get it from, im going to take a look at the motor tommorrow, right now i have a mod list of longtubes lol, can i use any kind of aftermarket throttle bodies and cold air intakes?

and one more question, if i get this motor is it gonna be faster than my full bolt on 2v?

yea you coould probably use most 9-98 cobra stuff, I'd go over on SVTP and ask though. with a few bolt ons it should, to be honest idk lol

93-98 mark VIII is rated at 280hp and 285tq while the 95-98 mark VIII LSC is rated at 290hp and 295tq. dont quote me, i got it off wikipedia lol.

i would hope that you could use 96-98 cobra parts because if not ur probably going to have a hard time finding parts for a lincoln lol

All cobra stuff will work on the Mark VIII motor. The base Mark is rated at 280HP and 285TQ and the dual exhaust LSC 290/290, however the biggest restriction is the Mark VIII exhaust, so figure upwards of 290HP at the crank for a mustang.

ok well i jus found a 96 mark viii motor, im going to get it, put a bigger t/b on it a cold air intake have both manifolds ported and polished along with a set of longtube headers, plus my car has a fully bilt tranny ful suspension and 4:10s
