I'll tell you like this I bought a 2001 Mustang GT CONVERTIBLE loaded with every option except the shaker 1000 system in the trunk did have the mach audio it was an auto in great condition. It had 81k on it when I bought. Check this out I bought it off my buddy and this was in 2007 so it was only a 6 year old car for $6000. He was buying a vette and the dealer offered him $5500 on trade in. Keep in mind the car was 6 years old at the time a loaded GT vert with almost every option possible in great condition. Sell your car on craigslist it'll take you a week at most and you'll probably get $5-6k for it on there. If you want to know what a dealer will offer you KBB your cars trade in value and deduct $500, that's how they do it. I just bought 2 cars and sold 2 used cars in the past month so I know how this works. Dealer wouldn't give me ish on trade in I put it on craigslist I sold my Jeep in a day and a Subaru I had in 2 days for MORE then I expected to get for it

That car seems priced decently.

Offer them 5K and see what they say.

22k is high. I ran into a guy this past weekend who bought a red termi 2003 anniversary edition Cobra with 20,000 miles convertible all stock for 22K so this should give you something to consider.

I guess it's all in what you are willing to pay....but try shooting low first and stand firm. I didn't get a *smoking* deal on mine, but I think it was worth it. I gave $23k and it was completely stock with 5100 miles. I just had to drive 14 hours one way to get it.

Asking a little high but you might be able to talk to him. Money does talk. Worst thing he can say is no.
