slicks?

And get wheels that will fit those tires. You probably shouldnt use slicks unless, like Lizzyfan said, weld up them torque boxes and you better have at least 31 spline axles before using those things. And you'll want some 4.10's at least because the huge tires are going to water down your gearing. Might wanna try to look for 26" tall slicks.

Now if i go with 31 spline axles, will I need to change anything else or will they just slip right in? My only issue right now is money haha. Also if I leave the 28 splines in and they break, what else would that damage?

You're opening a whole new can of worms with a 28" tall slick, they will fit, but do you need it? What do you have for power adders, how much horse power are you making, what gears are you running? With slicks you will need to upgrade your axles and differential, you're going to need a driveshaft saftey loop, weld up your torque boxes and if you're running stock control arms you're going to get bad wheel hop,. If you are having a tractions issues you're better off getting a set of 26" tall drag radials, they will be more forgiving on your car and have plenty of traction.

I have a set of 28 inch tall slicks for my 600 rwhp cobra and kind of worried about them being to tall. So if you have a gt with stock internals a 28 inch tall tire will be way to much just get some 274/40/17 mt et streets
