Default S/C Build Complete..

REPOST!!! I've had a couple members ask the the following quesitons:
How did I buy the Supercharger while deployed?
Where did I buy it from?
How long did it take me to get everything?
What parts will I need for a complete S/C build?
How much did it cost (total cost)?
etc., etc.,

So I've decided to reach into the archives and repost this thread. If you've seen it before I apologize.. The build up is on page 1..For you guys that's looking to build a S/C I did this (with the help of Kerns) while deployed to Afghnastain. So stop talking about and do it da****, lol! Below is the original traffic...

Well Gentelman after 2 months of searching, negotiating and some time pleading the S/C build is complete. I really want to thank Kerns because it was he, who suggested that I do this, when I was so reluctant.. To the guys who want a S/C but can't afford it, this is most def the way to go. I was all set on buying a V3 S/C (non-intercooled) from superchargersonline for 3600 bucks plus a couple hundred bucks shipping.. For a Vortech V-1 T-Trim intercooled S/C with all accessories................. Total price: $2170.00. I did this while deployed (with the help of my man Kerns) so if I can do it, anybody can do it. Below, For the guys looking for a S/C, I'm gonna post price, location etc, etc.. My only advice to you if you go this route try and buy the head unit 1st. I was so hyped to get started I bought the plugs 1st, lol! Here you go..

Vortech V1 T-Trim Head unit-700.00---- SVT Forums
Anderson Power Pipe--150.00---Corral.net
3.48 pulley--40.00---Corral.net
Tial Bov---220.00--JDsperformance
CX Rcing Intercooler (Complete kit)--210.00-- CX Racing (Ebay)
Seimens 42lb injectors--210.00--CorraL.net
HPX 05 Slot Maf--175.00--Kerns found this one for me..
Vortech mounting bracket--50.00-- Member of MF
Vortech mounting bracket hardware kit--95.00--superchargersonline
Oil Feed line--24.00--Vortech
Oil Feed Drain--24.00-- Vortech
SVT Fuel Pump-95.00-Member of MF
S/C belt--36.00---Summit Racing
NGK TR6 Plus--26.00---Auto Zone
Vortech Rib metal idler pulley ( 2.60", 6 rib)+Vortech 6 Rib Smooth Plastic Pulley (3"Lip)---85.00---JDsperformance
Stock Pulleys--30.00--- Corral.net

Total Cost: $2170.00

Didn't quite reach the $1500.00 Supercharger build but I think I did pretty good. Could have even been cheaper if I hadn't bought the Power Pipe, Tial Bov and went with smaller injectors. Any questions guys let me know..

what kind of boost does a kit like that put out? real question is is it a must for an intercooler on that kit "t-trim" bc as of right now i have a v1 s-trim said to put out 7-9lbs with the stock pulley and vortech support rep said i wouldnt need an intercooler with my kit. so b4 i try to do an install im just debating on should i just get an intercooler with the bov or should i just buy a bypass valve and get the kit bolted on bc it didnt come with a bypass valve

yea rock i think its your best bet to go with the intercooler if you plan on adding boost later down the road just to be on the safe side

The second that thing gets off the dyno getting tuned we better be seeing one hell of a 0-100 vid or something like that!

Nice! I did the same thing as your but I think mine came out to be like $300 dollars more. Are you gonna get any gauges though?
