kenne bell diff gears

I didn't know if that was directed towards me. Hell I dont even know how my username stuck so hard and now everyone calls me Purp. Not sure if everyone remembers, but the only reason why I changed my username to PurpleICED was because of evenexchange's obsession with that purple ice product! LOL

Hahahaha thats funny. For a second there you made it sound like you were running a kenne bell with 4.10's when you're always talking about how you sold your centri because you wanted a twin screw. Everyone knows that TS blowers and centri blowers are two VERY different animals. Period. So you having run a centri blower with 4.10's is just about the same as knowing nothing about a turbo build. Twin screw equals instant boost, centri's equal some boost now and building boost til redline. Youre not pulling 400rwtq throughout the rpm band in a centri car when your car makes 400rwtq peak. A twin screw car peaks and maintains throughout the rpm band til redline. Two very different blower setups.
I'm not arguing suspension and tires need to be addressed, but gears also MUST be addressed. Like boduke said, termies came with 3.55's and a 2.97 1st gear ratio for a reason...instant torque is not fun with street tires and steep gears like 4.10's. Our cars have a 3.38 1st gear ratio and then you add on top of that the 4.10's...thats like having a terminator T56 using higher than a 4.56 rear gear with stock power! Do you think that is smart. Hell no thats not smart! Even us running a 3.55 rear gear is like a cobra running 4.10's! And I do have experience with that as pretty much all my mustang friends around my area have termies and the one is strugling hooking up on slicks at the track with spherical/spherical control arms(team z) and coilovers, and thats an upper pulley only car. making 480rwhp
Also, my friend with a 2.76 upper pulley and bolt-ons, which is a 475rwhp car hooks up just fine with stock gears and no suspension mods besides cut springs and street tires. So street tires can handle the abuse of decent hp you just have to go out and buy decent tires and not go suckyhomos just because they are cheap.

This is what my car made before swapping to the powerpipe and an aftermarket mid-pipe You don't think I know a little bit about what traction issues are in 1st and 2nd? News flash teej, low end torque is not the only thing that reduces traction.
And to nurpleboy, I'll be sure to get on the PMs LOL

Go ask any one of your friends with a termi (even stock power and gears) and ask them if they can maintain traction in a drag race in 1st through 3rd on street tires. Remember, we are talking WOT at full boost LOL. I know how those cars perform on street tires, cause I race against them all the damn time at the track. I see what they do on street tires and stock gears even with stock power. You are kidding yourself if you think they are gonna hook with an additional 100rwhp/rwtq with whatever rear end gears you throw in there.

YEP! Hoss Just DID do that! What I wanna know is how you ended up with this picture.
Atleast the dude on the right is wearing the flag on his boxers............................................ ....................
I have my stock 3.27s on my KB 2.1L @ 9PSI. I think 3.55s or 3.73s would be tolerable but no further for a street car. 4.10s would be absolutely obnoxious and I would feel like i'm fighting the car just to drive it.
