I think Hoss could easily make 400/500 with a 4.6 block. I forget who the member on here was but he made like 420/520 with the stock longblock. It would also save money because you wouldn't need to buy a 5.4 block and save you a few pounds.
Also understand im doing a 5.4 for the fun factor of saying I have a 5.4... its not all about end result numbers. But the extra torque that im going to get from it will be worth the 200 bucks or so it costs for a shortblock.

LOL of course not.. but I will start to make the 550 ftlbs of torque around there...which IS good.
I love it Hoss...love the idea, can't wait for mine to begin. Oh and by the way, Thanks for acknowledging me when I said earlier congratuF'in-lations on taking the dive on Saturday!
Any thoughts toward my suggestion of starting with a 3v headed 5.4?
Eh, im not wanting to really deal with the stuff that comes along with the 3v to be honest.
I think the 2v 5.4 with stage 1 turbo cams and mildly ported heads will be decent. I think the stock PI intake is whats going to be key in keeping my powerband right where I need it.
