i think jeeps looks sweet when they're all done up, but i dont think i would ever own one though. i think theyre too under powered. i guess it's a jeep thing, i wouldn't understand.

Jeep.

I had a '98 (ZJ) Grand Cherokee with the 4.0L. At 180k, the thing still ran and shifted like it was brand new. The interior on Jeeps for some reason seems to show no wear. The only issue I had with it was a few electrical issues pertaining to the fact the vehicle was old and had a lot of "optional features" and the 4.0L is too small of an engine really for the big GC.

Cherokees are great for doing some trailing and dding since they're not as loud the wranglers, have real doors, and have a roof (if you are concerned about children/safety). Plus I love the body of the Cherokees. But for resale value and "off road capability", you can't beat a wrangler.

While you're looking in that direction, you might want to give a 4Runner a chance. I've had a lot of experience with those and they're just as reliable and capable as the Jeeps. My uncle and cousin both have 4Runners that are well into the 200k's and have done nothing but regular maintenance on them. They also get better gas mileage than Jeeps.

I had a wrangler years ago but the project never got off the ground. Still to this day that engine covered me in grease and s* more than any other engine ever, lol.

I've got a 06 Grand Cherokee now that's a good commuter that gets ok MPG, I'm just looking for something a little more fun that I don't mind trailing.

A local ford dealer has a 2001 cobra on the lot for 7500 with 130k miles

and GT/bullitt wheels on it. I kind of want to go drive it but I'm not really interested in acquiring it...but the price is tempting though, eh
