4R70W advice (or just advice in general)
#22
Ah crap I can't remember what size I have. 3/8" or 5/16". The stock lines do well at keeping heat in. There are lines out there that do much better at keeping the fluid cooler when flowing back and forth.

hey guys im new to this sight and this hole forum thing so sorry if my post is an intrusion, I was wondering where I could get some info on 4r70w compatibility because my transmission just blew all the drive clutch packs out and I found a recently ebuilt one with redline clutch packs, a reverse manual valve body for a mustang and a billet torque converter. the only issue is that it is out of an f150 with the wrong tail shaft. I would switch my tail shaft in the garbage trans with this one if I knew tht it would be a direct fit. ive talked to a gentleman at bauhman and he said that all the 4r70w are the same the only difference is application and tail shaft ie for a 4x4 or a mustang. my main concern is the valve body because I am not sure if my current linkage would be compatible with the valve body even though the owner has stated that it was in a floor shift set up.any help wold be greatly appreciated so I can get my car back on the road as soon as possible. thank you and sorry for the novel I just wrote
