Default lowering

I currently have the Eibach Pro Kit on my ride, and i'm looking for a little bit more of a drop (not much though) especially in the front. I'm not looking to slam the car. Could i just remove the isolators...maybe just the fronts only? Would i need c&c plates if i did that? I'm basically looking for the cheapest route to drop the car just a tad while not causing other possible problems.

Thanks

removing the isolators will be fine, i run no isolators. if you remove the top and bottom isolators, the drop will be around 3/8-1/2

I run H&R's with no isos.....there is probably another 1/2 inch of drop without the isos....

Thanks guys! The only thing i don't like about the Pro Kit is that the front seems to be a tad higher than the rear. I really like the slightly raked look. So if i could get another 1/2" drop in the front by removing the isolators that would be perfect for me. Would i need to do anything else like c&c plates, etc?

I don't run CC plates yet....although I should, and plan on doing so this spring! Worst case scenario, a good alignment will be fine. I do recommend CC plates though.

Removal of isos should do the trick. And yes, that is what I hated about my prokit. Also, I'd be getting cc plates if I were you. You're essentially going from prokit to sportline lowering in the front and they do require cc plates to keep premature tire wear to a minimum. Good luck!!! I would have said coilovers but then you said cheap. Lol

Yeah, they advertise the Pro Kit as a 1.5" drop all around, but it just doesn't seem true at all for the front.

It sounds like a done deal then. There's a guy (locally) that's selling Maximum Motorsports C&C plates for $100. I think i'll snag those, and be done.

Thanks for the help guys!

I pulled my isos out up front and got a .5" drop

The rears i might have gotten 1/8" drop if i was lucky...

The .5" was noticeable to me and i did enjoy the added lowering, but don't expect anything DRASTIC...

Look in the caliper painting thread by mustanglouver... I posted a pic of a blue saleen and he has before and after pics of the front isos... It's on page 1.
