How dumb was this? Left Cam in wrong.

It's good to laugh at a mistake when it doesn't cost much. I'm so glad i didn't break anything except my ego. What a dumb mistake.

I installed Comp Cams in my 99 GT 2V in Nov 2010, the car ran rough, i couldn't figure out what was wrong. I took it to have it tune at Big Daddy Performance, and they found out that the left side of the motor was off. I suspected for months i installed the left cam in wrong, and it was, approx 180*. I ran it 12.11 @ 111. mph with the cam left cam in wrong. It doesn't seem like i hurt the motor. I took it apart and everything seems ok. I'm in my garage now in the process of reinstalling the Cams the right way this time.
Will it run better with the cams in the correct way?

I never said it ran fine, i stated that it ran, but something was wrong. Call it what you want, but its no BS, the fact remains it still ran 12.11 @ 111 mph. 180* off. I previously post this time i ran and also stated that i was not satisfied with the time it ran. Prior to those post, i recently posted that my car had a miss, i checked the coils, injectors, cam position sensor, idle air control valve, compress check, and even changed the plugs. At that point i gave up, and thought this is as best it going to run. I had Dawayne from Big Daddy scan it, and it showed the left side was not normal and was adding peak fuel trying to compensate for the cam being off. The right side was normal. I check when i got home, and seen clear and colored pictures of the cams installed correct. That's when i know for sure i installed the left cam incorrect.

I realize i should've waited to have it tuned on the dyno, hopefully its not too late. I was wondering if the tune is hurting the car, it doesn't run that well under 2500 rpm and i've had a couple of codes. Does anyone know if i can cut 0.1-0.3tenths off the 12.119 time with a custom duno tune?
Update 4/14/2011
Now I feel like sh!d, I installed the cams, than ran this car for 4 months, and made 5, 1/4 miles passes with the left cam installed 180* off. I took everything apart and reinstalled the cams correct. Will It make more power?
Update 4/17/2011
Cams are installed correct now, the miss is gone. Seems like it runs much better. Will it make more hp/tq?

I'm just stating the facts. I'm here to help others and learn. Not BS anyone. This topic might prevent someone from making the same mistake i made with their cam installation. If i had've search and found cam installs, it would've prevented the mistake i made, and i would'nt of had to go throught reinstalling the cams.

that depends, do you plan on degree'ing them yourself, or having them pre-degreed?
if they are already degreed then it would say its somewhat easy if you take your time and do it right. its a bit harder if you have to degree them yourself.
here's the article on degreeing them.
