I would like to build an S2000 too. I really liked them when they first came out. Hardtop FTW
Ok I don't like FWD at all. As for a V6 not matching 4.0 mustang power if were talking stock for stock thats not necessarily a bad thing at all. Bolt-on GT's(Aside from the '11 5.0) dont do anything at all for me, so its all relative.
Would love to see what it would do with a mild turbo and a few grand into the suspension.

Gotcha I'm just saying in my opinion it's a pretty underpowered engine and I don't think there's much potential with it (not that there's much with the 4.0 either, without big $$). And I'd imagine if you upped the power the torque steer would be a p.i.t.a. also. If it was a RWD car it would be a LOT more appealing to me.

that car does not have that power with stock internals. it is sick, but it is either built or a lie.

S2K's have forged internals stock so im sure that is possible to do without building the motor.

I'd sell the cobra in a heartbeat if I could get enough cash for the build.

I would say keep it within reason of a car that you could realistically build someday. A grand national would be awesome, although that's a car I'd want to keep stock and just up the boost and do everything that I can without changing the internals. Full bolt on car one could say.
I like how you picked on my car selection.
Maybe the title of the thread should be worded alittle better next time."What other car would you build?"
As I look in this post I see that some people picked some pretty crazy priced cars as well. But you hate me for picking a 63 Vette and a yenko Camaro. What if I had money to build one ??(not that I doo )

how this for reasonable? I build a Capri RS Turbo.
Next time maybe word the Thread better if theres a dollar amount.

Sorry you hate me right now

Dude, first off, get off the rag. It was a joke saying that I cant believe you would want to build up a car like that and ruin it and its value everyone but you.

There was no dollar amount. Vipers are fine because you can find them and they are not a classic muscle car icon that is potentially worth a quarter million dollars. A lot of guys want to build up chargers and challengers. I didnt once read "I'm gonna take a hemi and mod the hell out of it!" because you dont do that. Those cars are too rare and worth too much to do that to. Yenko's and split windows are the same way, and in any car circle I'd bet you'd be shunned for doing such a thing, if the people there know what those cars are and know about the history and such.

Id have to go with a VW Corrado with the VR6 or swap out the drivetrain with the VW R32's. One of the best handling cars of its day and sexy as hell in my opinion.

1971/72 Dodge Demon. or an early 70's Ford Falcon, Australian version (73 would be ideal).
