Another IRS swap!

Lol and the horde grows by one. I still remember being criticized when I wanted to do this, glad to see it's growing in acceptance. The swap is easy, aligning some of the bolt holes can be a pita. I will recommend trying to do the bushings before installing the IRS, makes it easier with the whole irs out. It is no fun to do.

You won't be needing a spring compressor. I was able to lower/tilt mine enough to get the springs to just fall out. That's interesting that you needed a spring compressor school boy. Are you sure you lowered the IRS enough? You want to have the car relatively high off of the ground so you have room.

gotcha... yeah I just bolted the front two up then put the springs in and jacked the whole rear up.

Haha thanks man, I will definitely have pictures up after the swap is done. I polished the whole visible part of the catback so it'll look extra good underneath the car!

Just a quick update:
Here is how the IRS looked when I first picked it up.
It was super rusty and didn't look that good at all.
Today I got all of the rust off which took a good couple of hours and then I painted it a flat black.
Sorry for the cell phone picture quality but it looks so much better now and is pretty much all ready to go in the car!
