Default 02' Mustang GT in weather conditions

Recently purchased Mustang GT in the end of Spring, I live in Northeastern PA. And, as you all know the weather gets bad here in the Winter. The mustang is my daily car, and i was wondering is it going to be hard to get around. I don't expect to drive it when there's a lot of snow on the roads, but i will be driving it when the snow is plowed off to the sides. Ive heard many stories of driving the car in bad conditions..some say ill be able to make it around others say no.
Can someone help me out.. what do u think?? Can i just get snow tires? I have 18'' wheels on now. Should I down grade to a smaller wheel and tire? Get studs in the wheel? I could really use the help thanks.

First year i had mine i had to drive it through one winter. Got a set of V6 16" pony rims for $80, threw on cheap snow tires, and it plowed through anything. It did just as good as my front wheel drive Honda Accord.

I would imagine with good snow tires and common sense you'd be fine.If your budget allows I'd get a cheap winter hack to drive and store your GT.

I drove mine in 2 western pa winters. I didn't have snow tires and my car was lowered so at times, it was interesting. As long as you get some snow tires, maybe throw a bag of sand or two in the trunk, you'll be fine as long as you're not an imbecile. Congrats on the new car and welcome.

ive driven my stang thru 7 years of winters in northern wi. i found a set of steel rims and put snow tires on em. never looked back since. traction is awesome in the snow and if you can get a good feel for the car, you're gonna be going farther than most fwd cars go.

Like these guys said, a set of 16" wheels from a V6 mustang with some all seasons or snow tires will do wonders for you! Personally, I drive my car daily through the winters of south central PA, which isnt as bad, but still get snow and ice. Just have to drive like a sane person and you'll be fine.

I was able to manage mine in the winter with a double negative 10.5 rims in the back with sumitumos on it in the winter in Germany catching a few cobblestone spots in the city so with that being said you should be fine. the only time I would slide around is when I wanted to from playing around. easy foot decent tires and traction control you should be fine.

Yea, I hit a freak snow storm with my 285 almost bald nittos without working traction control/abs and 4.10's. And I was stuck pulling out on an incline. Like anything else, its manageable. But you have to be careful.
