315 BFG vs Toyo drag radials
#23
Yea, I really don't get the fact that they make 2 styles of dr's. The one for larger sizes looks cooler and when worn down a little has a massive contact patch. I'd love to buy them again as I think they were great but at like $300/tire or more for like 5-7k miles, can't do it. Maybe on a set of show wheels, but I DD my car and can't afford that kind of tread life.

I haven't read any complaints from you about the Toyos until you went to the track (I may have missed them if you did). Are you say they sucks because you cut 2.4 60's at the track or are they truly not a good tire?

Well guys i just bought the Toyo's, and they should be here in a couple of days. Got them for $148 per tire, and $50 shipped to my door for two of them. Just sold my Nitto's for $225, so that helps. Also since we were talking about width, i had one guy go out into their warehouse to compare them with a set of BFG dr's. He didn't actually measure them, but did put them next to each other and whatnot, and said there was no noticeable difference at all. So apparently the these tires run pretty wide in a 315, which is nice.
I'll give my review in a few days when i get them on.

Tyler, a bunch of us will be doing a track day really soon, and you can bet i'll post a review on that. But i'll also give my impression of how well they work on the street when i get them on. Should be on by Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
